The hero I am researching is Vercingetorix, the leader of the Gauls in the Gallic War against Rome, and Julius Caesar. Vercingetorix was from the Averni tribe of Gauls. Vercingetorix lead his people in a resistance of Roman conquest. He tried to unit all his people against a common enemy and used many military strategies. However even more then being a hero for leadership, is Vercingetorix a hero to the French, for representing their history and culture, and the Gauls, which are arguably also all heroes as a people, to the French people.
